Future of Jobs – Fourth Industrial Revolution 2020 Onwards


World Economic Forum met from 20 to 23 Jan, 2016 to discuss about the future of Jobs 2020. 
This fourth industrial revolution will emerge as the field of artificial intelligence and machine-learning, robotics, nanotechnology, 3-D printing, and genetics and biotechnology which was disjointed earlier.

According to that report, the technological drivers of change will be : 

 a) Mobile Internet and cloud technology , b) advances in computing power and data, c) New energy supplies & Technologies ,  d) The internet of things, e) Crowd sourcing – the sharing economy and peer to peer platforms , f) Advanced robotics and autonomous transport, g) Artificial intelligence and machine learning, h) Advanced manufacturing and 3D printing, i) Advanced materials, biotechnology and genomics.

The Demographic and socio economic drivers of change will be :

a)Changing work environments and flexible working arrangements, b) Rise of the middle class in emerging markets, c) Climate change, natural resource constraints and the transition to a greener economy, d) Rising geopolitical volatility, e) New consumer concerns about ethical and privacy issues, f) Longevity and ageing societies, g) Young demographics in emerging market, h) Women’s rising aspirations and economic power,  i) Rapid urbanization
