One Page from my book - Happiness 1.1 Reloaded

We all are professional here and I know we all are busy but if we have no time to take our food properly which is absolute necessity to build our health, and then please rethink and give time to it.  In our relations, where we expect a lot from others, we have no time to talk to them.   I suggest manage your time well and spent quality time.    Spare some time for yourself where you think about you and talk, and energize yourself.  When you want to cry, cry alone.  It will really release the pressure from you.   Pat yourself for good things and criticize yourself for bad. Life is pretty simple, don’t make it complicated.  Set your priorities and go one by one for it.

Believe me; we made our life complicated because we are always busy in analyzing the life.  Every time we start thinking - why this?  How this? When this? These all things are making life complicated and unhappy.  Live it.  Worrying becomes our habit and this leads to unhappiness.  I follow one basic rule to be happy.  Whenever I start any work, I think all positive and negative results of this work.  When I prepare myself for the worst, my fear immediately washes out, but my intentions are clear to be successful in that work and I do my job with perfect honesty and perfection.

Think positive.  Always look at how far we have come rather than how far we have to go.  Count your blessing, not what we are missing.  We are already blessed child of the great GOD. He has already given us many things which are not with millions of people living in this world. Is this not the starting point to be happy?

You can access the whole book at : Happiness 1.1 Reloaded at Google Play Store

My new book - "Happiness 1.1 reloaded : Unfolding the secrets of happiness" is now available at Google Play Store

When I was leaving my home 15 years back from mountains to Delhi, my mother gave me a suggestion that whatever the situation would occur in front of me, face it with a smile and always keep myself happy.  Whatever I will do, do it with perfect honesty, dedication and faith in God and also keep my five senses in control.   Whenever I feel low, I remember my mother saying to me. This really helps me a lot to keep me motivated and happy.

Happiness is one thing which we seek and chase for all our life and surprisingly this is all around us.
What is happiness? Is it a state of mind or something else?  How can we be happy in our life?  Is there any formula? Although we all know the basics of happiness very well, but why do we forget these in our life?

This is a question whose answer we search in our whole life.  Some people get the answer and some don’t.

We know the basics of happiness however we forget these basics in our daily life due to work pressure, worries about future and other reasons.  We need to remember these basics always.  This is the reason, “Happiness 1.1 Reloaded” idea born and I tried to summarize the basics to my reader to keep them motivated always.

Link to access this book at google play store is :

Some Lines from my book - Happiness 1.1 Reloaded ..........

They real mantra or talisman of happiness is – Stay positive and be positive.  Remember, “It shall Pass” and accept it.

Every situation will pass as the time passes.  There is nothing permanent in this world.  Believe me – we all are living in a rented house for a fixed tenure.   Then what is worry?  Enjoy life as it comes.  Come out from any rough situation by yourself.  Don’t expect that somebody will come and will take you out from this situation.   It is you, only you who can bring out of yourself from any situation.
Say yourself “I am Happy.”
Whatever is happening with me…? It is going to be better.  I was happy; am Happy and will happy.

Say cheers to life and live life as it comes.  This gifted life is to enjoy and to be happy.

Life is just another name of hope and opportunities.  We never know by which form happiness is coming to your way.

Three Talisman of King Ravana to Laxman ...... Are these relevant today ?

When the demon king Ravana was attacked by Lord Rama and was nearing his death, Rama asked his brother Lakshman to go to him and learn something which no other person except an erudite Brahmin like Ravana could ever teach him. Ravana told three mantras to lakshman on his deathbed...

1.Shubhasya Shighram ( Good Work to be started as early as possible) : The First mantra of Ravana to laxman- Ram’s Brother is Subhasya Shighram. He told Lakshman was that one should complete any auspicious work as soon as possible and keep delaying the inauspicious work as much possible.

2 –Respect your enemy and don’t underestimate them:  The second thing he taught Lakshman was never to underestimate one’s enemy. He said that he did this mistake of understanding the monekys and bears lesser or incompetent and he lost the battle against them.
He said, when he asked Lord Brahma to make him immortal, he said no one else except for monkeys and human could kill him. This is because he believed that both these living beings were not capable to kill him. This was his mistake and he suffered life as a result.

3 – Secrecy should be remain Secret : The third and final thing Raavan told Lakshman that one should not reveal one’s life secret to anyone in the world. Here also Raavan made a mistake as Vibhishan knew the secret of his death. Raavan knew this was his biggest mistake of life.

These three rules are very much relevant to today’s world.   Whether it is your personal life or professional life, these three rules should always be kept in mind.

TAUPAS Rules : Some thumb rules for professional Email

Your email can have a direct impression of your personality or your etiquette to the reader of your email.  Personal email may does not have any formalities but professional email should have and these should be followed.

Type your Subject, email contents and then email address.  Sometimes , you are in the middle of the email contents , and wrongly the send button pressed, your email will reached to your reader and you can imagine , what image of your will be occur in your reader. So, first write subject, your contents and then type the email address in To, Cc .

A clear cut subject line: Your professional email should have a clear cut subject line by which your reader can have an idea of the contents of email and it should be short.  Without a subject, a professional email can be  a blunder and your receiver can have a negative impact of you and might be possible he / she will treat your email as Spam.  Avoid “wishes” in subject line.

Use professional salutation and then check your CAPITALIZATION of letters: Address the receiver with a proper salutation.  You are sending a professional email, not a personal email.   This professional email can be accessed by other person in company and above all, you are sending an email to a responsible person of the company.  CAPITALIZATION of letters should be avoided in any professional email.  Do it when you need it badly or you want to draw the attention on these words and at the end, add whole signature ( Name, designation, Company, or other relevant information of your company i.e. website, Phone no. etc).  Make email short and to the point.  Lengthy email irritates the reader. Nobody have the patience to read a full page email.

Proof reading of your email: Before hitting the send button, please check your email contents carefully for any spelling mistake or grammatical errors in it.  Your small mistake can leads to a big casual approach of yourself to the reader and reader can take you lightly.

Avoid personal email ID , use company email address :  If you are working in a company , then send the email through your company’s email ID.  Most of the professionals avoid personal IDs email.

Send email to only concerned personnel :  Whenever we got an email , we have a common tendency to reply all in the email.  NO.  A  Big NO.  Think thrice before choosing Reply All.  Do only if this is necessary and relevant to all and if you are sending the email, send it to only concerned people.

Happy Reading..........Learning continues ............

If you live 60 years then how much years do you live for yourself – A Mathematical calculation

Let us suppose, a man /woman live for 60 years then the followings are the details of your life itinerary in mathematical terms-

Total days = 21900 days and 525600 Hours in 60 years.

Hours spent unusable Initial 5 years as child Total days= 1825 Days & Total hours = 43800 Hours

Then 15 Years of schooling or college Total days = 5475 Days  & Total hours = 131400 Hours

8 hours of sleeping in next 40 Years Total hours = 116800 Hours

8 hours of working in next 40 years Total hours = 116800 Hours

2 Hours in wasteful things in next 40 years Total Hours =29200 Hours

Total hours we spent on other things,  Total hours= 438000 Hours

The total hours for ourselves

Total Hours – Our spent hours = 525600 ( in 60 Years) – 438000 ( In 60 Years)

Total hours = 87600 Hours &
Total days = 3650 Days &
Total years = 10 Years

Conclusion – We live only 10 years for ourselves and rest of the 50 years we have to spent on other things. So, enjoy every moment of life as it comes. So, my dear friends , every day is very – every important. We only live for 10 years for ourselves.

This is life. So enjoy every second of life.

I will be back with some another topic

Who had not done mistake in their life ................................. A story

Yesterday night, My wife told me a story of a king and an accused which she read into a short stories book.

An accused was brought into the court of a king and King was ordered the death sentence to him then he requested to king that he had a secret knowledge and before accepting the death sentence he wanted to give this knowledge to anybody who did not commit any sin in his lifetime and if any person who had committed any sin its lifetime, he will die next day.

King was agreed and he ordered to their court member but nobody was accept the challenge to learn the knowledge from the accused because they all remembered their sin which they had committed in their life time for any cause.

Even King also thought that how he cheated his father who was king and how he misused the state treasure and done the manipulation.

Then the accused asked the question to the king that if everybody who was present in the court had committed the crime or sin then why he was the only to face the judgement????? A BIG QUESTION....

King was understood the meaning of the accused and he released the accused.

Success formula in Corporate World- My interesting formula

In today’s world, securing your job is really an uphill task and you have to balance yourself to keep your seat safe. My experience says that following formula can work for you.

Success in job = SMART Hard work (20%) + Good relations with Boss (20%) + highlighting your work to management (20%) + Vigilant- Keep your ears and eyes open ( 20%) + ability to accept challenges (10%) + Trying another job (10%)

Or I can summarize this is as ,  Success is a function of ,

Sx= f(H, G, W, V, C, J)

where H is Smart Work , G is Good repo with boss , W is highlighting your work , V for Vigilance, C is the capacity of accepting the challenge and J is trying for another job.

One thought always keep in mind, “ Till you are in the need to fulfill the goals of the company, company will bear you at any cost but when the company feels that you are not giving the desired output or you are used, then company immediately starts thinking about you to sack. So, Don’t be emotional and accept this hardcore truth. Don’t attach yourself with the company. Love your work , at the end of the day,  We all are professional.”

What happened when you give an interview and after the selection ? – A must read story …..

............... One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself. "Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you." "No problem, just let me in," said the woman. "Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in." "Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman "Sorry, we have rules..." And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down down to hell.

The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow Executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner. She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave.

Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator. The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her."Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her. "So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell." So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell. When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her."I don't understand," stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."
The Devil looked at her smiled and told..."Yesterday we were recruiting you, Today you are an employee.” !!!!!!

( This story has send to me by someone and I feel this should be shared to add some humor. )

What does APJ Abdul Kalam life teach us to grow in Professional Life ?

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, was an ordinary man with extraordinary talent and above all he exploited his talent very well throughout in his life.  This made him an extraordinary man.
Some lessons which can be used by us in our professional life are as follows :

-          -Problems are there to make you strong and prepare you for the bigger challenge of life.
-          -Everybody has the talent, but you have to exploit your talent at its best.
-         - Love your job till the last breath of your life.
-         - You will only known by your deeds, not by your wealth.
-          -Whatever the responsibilities comes to you, accept them and tackle them.
-          -Live a simple life , do great things and enjoy yourself.
-          -A true life is beyond the cast, racism , poor or rich.
-          -Your passion can take you on the top.
-          -Your good deeds always be appreciated sooner or later.
-          -Everybody can do wonders in his / her life from an ordinary life.

Life is short and time bounded.  Nobody can change this.  The most important thing is – How you will live your life?  How do you want to remember?

I am a big fan of late great scientist , an excellent teacher and ex president of India and it is great to see that every citizen of india mourn in his death without any limitations or barriers.

A grand salute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalaam …………….. We are fortunate that we lived in your era and seen you doing great things in a very simple manner.

One Inspirational Quote from legendary boxer – Muhmmad Ali

Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill."
These words are very inspiring and encouraging. In every field of life where you want to excel or want to raise your bar, there are something which needs within you- Hardwork, determination , focused approach, Patience, believe in almighty and a great will. These characteristics leads to a person to become the victorious from all odds. Odds are only the part of life and it teaches the lesson to an individual and give them the patience to handle or tackle the more challenges in life. Muhammad Ali or Casius Clay the great boxer of all time, describing that will - strong will that a man can do wonders if he /she has the faith in themselves. Inborn assets or talent only exhibited when you think beyond your bars.

If we really want to excel in our professional life, we have to believe in ourself first and believe that We can do it.  Every person is gifted enormous talent by GOD, the only thing is – we have to realize this and channelize our efforts to achieve our goal of life.

Keep reading and have a faith in yourselves because we all are special child of the omnipotent and almighty.

God bless you........

20 Golden rules to make a mark of your work at office.....

1.Do your work with dedicated interest and loyalty. Be punctual at work and try your best to observe the rules and regulations of the company and develop the passion quotient within you.
2. Improve your knowledge and professionalism on the job and if possible, be ahead of the times by reading about current research findings in your areas of expertise. Know the regular up-dation in your field.
3. Be the best at what you do, no matter how small or big the job. Treat every job with equal importance.
4. Do not brag about your achievement. Let your work speak for itself or let somebody else do the bragging.
5. Learn to know a co-worker individually and to not base a relationship on what was said by another person. Believe in what you see.
6. Learn to have shorter periods of anger when aggravated and let the matter rest as quickly as possible. Anger toward a co-worker tends to adversely affect your work. Try to calm at office.
7. Accept your imperfections. When you make error, admit it. The cardinal sin on the job is to blame somebody else for your errors.
8. Use your errors as learning tools for education, and job improvement. This is how you turn your weaknesses to strategies for success.
9. Learn to identify and deal with thrill seekers of crisis. Once a problem is solved, they will create another. The rule is, as long as these people are kept busy, given numerous assignments, their energies to craft crisis or do havoc will be depleted. Don't react to these people as nuisances on the job, which chronic complainers can sometimes be.
10. Never destroy co-workers' work or denigrate them to elevate your status.
11. Do not bring personal problems to work or persecute co-workers as a reflection of your personal failures or problems.
12. Never get into a shouting match with a co-worker no matter how angry you get.
13. Find a neutral ground to negotiate issues with the boss or co-workers. When negotiation fails, learn to compromise; when compromise fails, learn to agree to disagree.
14. Learn to respond without stress to stressful situations.
15. Improve your work ethics and spend the major part of the job time producing.
16. Never take a problem to the manager without having two or three solutions for the problem.
17. Deal with an ego-driven manager with diplomacy.
18. Know your limitations, know the limitations of your boss, do your best on the job and know when to stop pursuing an issue. Your greatest asset on the job is your motivation to achieve and produce. No matter what the job is, always let your work leave a mark of excellence.
19. Treat your customers with respect and kindness whether they are external or Internal.
20 . Last but not the least, you will always be remember by your work in your company when you leave the organization. So, Give your best and do the best.

Which color of Hat suits to you ? ( An Introspection)

'Six Thinking Hats' is an important and powerful technique. It is used to look at decisions from a number of important perspectives. Every person looks a problem with their attitude and to get rid from the problem, every individual has its own style of solving the problem which was actually based upon his/ her traits, educational background, experience and attitude.
This tool was created by Edward de Bono.
White hatWith this kind of people always focus on the data available. Look at the information you have, and see what you can learn from it. Look for gaps in your knowledge, and either try to fill them or take account of them. This is where you analyze past trends, and try to extrapolate from historical data.
Red HatWearing' the red hat, you look at problems using intuition, gut reaction, and emotion. Also try to think how other people will react emotionally. Try to understand the responses of people who do not fully know your reasoning.
Focusing the entire scenario in one shot is the characteristic of Red Hat people.
Black HatThese are the individual who always looks for the flop side of the coin. It means they consider the bad effects first then the positive effect of the decision. This is important because it highlights the weak points in a plan. It allows you to eliminate them, alter them, or prepare contingency plans to counter them.
Yellow HatThey are the opposite from Black hat. They always see the flip side of the coin. The yellow hat helps you to think positively. It is the optimistic viewpoint that helps you to see all the benefits of the decision and the value in it. Yellow Hat thinking helps you to keep going when everything looks gloomy and difficult.
Green hatThey are revolutionary. The Green Hat stands for creativity. This is where you can develop creative solutions to a problem. It is a freewheeling way of thinking, in which there is little criticism of ideas.
Blue hatThey are the people who are really responsible to control the problem. 'Blue Hat Thinking' stands for process control. This is the hat worn by people chairing meetings. When running into difficulties because ideas are running dry, they may direct activity into Green Hat thinking. When contingency plans are needed, they will ask for Black Hat thinking, etc.. They are always looks for the ideas from others.
So, what type of Hat you wear when a problem arises at your end?.......................

The Greatest woes of Communication ….

A great saying regarding the communication is :

“ The biggest communication problem is we don’t listen to understand.  We listen to reply. Pause yourself and think one more time.”

One of my friends sent this message to me through Whatsapp and I don’t know who has coined these golden words but after reading these words, I was surprised and amazed after going through these words.  This simple sentence has deep meaning itself.

These words have cent percent relevance.  In our daily life, whether we are in office or at home, we listen only to reply –so that we can defend ourselves.   Sometimes, we give reply in the middle of the conversation without listening the entire thing and often its backfires.

Sometime at Home, we immediately reacts to our relatives without listening them properly and later on, we realized our mistake and same thing happened in our office too.

The thumb rule of effective communication is – First Listen carefully and understand it and then react, only if it is necessary.

My advice is , first listen very carefully , understand it thoroughly for the intention of the communication and then reply it.   We are always in a hurry to replying.  Start Pausing yourself before replying , it will definitely keeps you above from the rest.

George Bernad Shaw further added through this quote , “ The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”

Youth Day …. It is Swami Vivekanand’s birthday

Narendranath Datta was born on 12th Jan,1863 in Kolkatta, West Bengal ( India) and later , he became Swami Vivekananad and his thoughts always inspire and guide the youth all around the world.

He gave a talisman in his following quote to get the success in professional life.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants / leaders are produced.”

This is a very powerful talisman for everyone.  If you want to excel in your life, you have to design your goal in such a way that every activities of your life revolve around that goal until it is not achieved.

In one another quote, the great saint of India says , “ Arise, Awake , stop not until your goal is achieved.”

His speech on the Parliament of world religion on 11th Sep, 1893 at Chicago , USA where he addressed the crowd with famous beginning of “ Sisters and Brothers of America “ was a milestone in his 39 years short Journey from 1863 to 1902.

The Inspiring Story of Tiny Frog....A must read Story

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs, ..who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants... The race began... Honestly...No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as:"Oh, WAY too difficult!!! " They will NEVER make it to the top!!!" or:"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!!!"
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher... The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!!!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...This one wouldn't give up!!! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?
It turned out...That the winner was DEAF!!!The wisdom of this story is:NEVER listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic... Because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you...the ones you have in your heart!!!Always think of the power words have . Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!!!
Moral : ALWAYS be...POSITIVE!!!
This is forwarded to me and this is my moral responsibility to share it with you.
