Formula to get success in job ........

In today’s world, securing your job is really an uphill task and you have to balance yourself to keep your seat safe. My experience says that following formula can work for you.

Success in job = Hard work (20%) + Good relations with Boss (20%) + highlighting your work to management (20%) + Vigilant- Keep your ears and eyes open ( 20%) + ability to accept challenges (10%) + Trying another job (10%)

One thought always kept in mind, “ Till you are in the need to fulfill the goals of the company, company will bear you at any cost but when the company feels that you are not giving the desired output or you are used, then company immediately starts thinking about you to sack. So, Don’t be emotional and accept this hardcore truth. Don’t attach yourself with the company. We all are professional.”

One day in June, He came to know that his firm is thinking to reduce the manpower in its Asian operation, he immediately started thinking and join a design consultancy firm as part time basis and in September, the company fired 20 employees and Kunwas was one of them.

How many people think like Kunwar? Private Job whether it is in a MNC or small company has uncertainty and you never know when you have to fired by the management.

What an employer looks in a candidate………….

Every employer wants to hire the best talent at lowest cost. So, following qualities he looks for in a candidate: please take it seriously

4. He/She should leave the office after the Boss.

My five mistakes during the 8 years of career itinerary ………….

1.Start job too early ….. I have joined a company when I was just 22 years after completing my graduation only. I always wanted to do further study but I could not manage it and started my job journey with a manufacturing company at lower management.
Tips : First complete your study then start job hunting. Don’t show your thirst for job to any employer, they will negotiate you and take advantage of your situation. First job is always a milestone in your job itinerary, so, be choosy.

2.Five Years long tenure with my first company: I had spent my 5 years with my first company and it takes a lot from me. Although I learnt a lot from this company but my growth is not at par with my expectations at my company because I joined them in a junior level.
Tips : Try to switch after 2~ 3 years in a company because after spending more than 3 years , there is no scope for you to learn to you and there is nothing left within you to give to the company. We go to our saturation point and relax ourselves into a comfort zone because of familiarity with the company and its culture.

3.Don’t Go by the name of the company: When I joined a company after my first job, it was a very reputed company of their field and I was just joined this company because of its name and this did not work for me. When I entered to this company, the company atmosphere and policy did not suits with me and I found myself in a great dilemma.
Tips : Before joining any company, check its credentials and try to find out the working atmosphere of the company.

4.Negotiate your terms and conditions at the time of Interview : When I joined another company , I could not able to negotiate my salary and other things in a right manner because of my frustration with my company and I was desperately need a job and when I got the job in another company , I immediately resigned from my company and joined the new company. Afterwards, I came to know the discrepancy between the said terms & conditions at the time of appointment and real scenario.
Tips : Be careful while negotiating your salary and other perks and ask any doubts at the time of offer letter or appointment. Be sure , that all the terms and conditions remains same.

5.Keep a good professional relations with your boss : Your immediate boss is always shut or open the doors for you in a company. I had some conflicts with my previous boss on some issues but my work never appreciated because of my conflicts with my boss and my appraisals always suffered due to this.
Tips : Boss is always right. Make your point of view in any subject but follows the boss – deliver what he /she wants.

Before joining a company or Corporate, be alert ……………………

Aman Kumar Singh was working in a company of Gurgaon and when he appeared for an interview at Delhi , he was offered a job with good salary hike and change in designation , he immediately resigned his current company and without checking the company credentials , he joined the company. He is jobless today because the new company has a trend of hiring and firing without any reason.

When we give an interview and then we offered the offer letter, we are immediately give resignation to your current company and after few days in new company , we feel that previous company was better then current. So, Folks, before joining any company following tips can be helpful to you :

1. When you got any offer letter from any prospective company, utilize this to negotiate with your current company because outside world is very unpredictable
2. Try to change your job when your requirement is very high in your current company.
3. Check the credentials and ground reality of your new company whether this is a big name or small. If possible, take 3-4 days leave from your current company and join the new one and find out the ethics, work culture of the new company.
4. Try to contact with the existing employee of the new company and find out the reality of your company.
5. Also try to check the financial status of the company because we all are doing our job for our salary.

So, My Advice is – Change your job if you offered a better one, but check every details of company first.

My First Job Interview...............

I was landed up in delhi on 25th June,2000 after finishing my graduation from Kumaun University, Nainital.

From 2000 to June, 2002 I was jobless and always tried to find out a job of any kind because of my frustration and family pressure. Even I was ready to give my service in a Bar.

On 23th May, 2002 I got a Interview call letter from a company at Faridabad and I was landed up there on 25th May,2002.

There were 25 Other candidates for the post and I was shocked to see them because I badly need a job to sustain in Delhi. During these 2 years, I gave tuition to students but as per my family , this is not a stable job you have to do a regular job.

OK, Let us come to the interview. I was listed in the 13th number in the list for the interview and I almost thought, this 13 number will again not give me the job here. But finally I decided to give the interview.
The other candidates who were appeared for interview told us that Interviwer is very strict and asking about our past experience. I was demoralised because I had no experience. When the receptionist called my name to go for the interview, First time, my heartbeat went soaring and When I sat infront of the interviwer , I was almost trembling with fear.
After Asking some general question, he gave me a report of excel and told me to apply some excel formulae on it. Although , I was a computer science graduate but it was 2 years back and i has also done a course on MS-OFFICE but that time, everything was slipped from mind. But finally , I recalled my memory and done the required changes in the report.
After that , he told me that I have to sit at Reception and after all the interview was over, the reception once again called me and diverted me to HR.
HR Personnel gave me a form to fill and after filling the same, when I asked him about the further processing, he told me that I was selected for the post and you have to report the company from 3rd June,2002.
I was in seventh sky and I immediately called my home to tell that i got the job.
